Phenotypes & progeny tests
Run a progeny test of your rams, record from birth through to carcase, and feed every measurement back into ssGBLUP single-step to lift EBV accuracy. Trait codes follow LAMBPLAN/MERINOSELECT.
Active & planning trials
1. Trial details
2. Test sires + link sires
Why link sires? A "link" ram is one with progeny in both your flock and the across-flock LAMBPLAN/MERINOSELECT analysis. Without at least one link sire your test data can't be benchmarked across flocks. Use AI to common reference rams or pick one with widespread industry progeny.
3. Dam pool
Pick the ewe pool to use. Dams will be auto-linked once you record their lambs.
Recording for trial

Mob phenotype recording
Mob mode. Record the mob average for a trait — average weaning weight, mean condition score, mean fleece weight at shearing, etc. Use the n records field to weight the observation (more animals weighed = stronger evidence). The engine treats each mob aggregate as one calibration point, weighted by n.

Genemap-branded export
Download a single Genemap-branded workbook with every stage of your trial — birth, weaning, post-weaning, yearling, hogget, repro, carcase. Take it where it suits: Sheep Genetics, your service provider, your consultant, or just keep it on file.
