How the standard indexes are calculated

Genemap ranks animals on your own enterprise, or on five standard Australian indexes. Each standard index is the net profit, in Australian dollars per calf born, of a sire's progeny through one stage of the beef chain, on a published reference enterprise. This page lists every input behind them, with its source and date, and says plainly which inputs have no citable source and which traits are not priced.
