Privacy policy.
This policy describes what Genemap (operated by Clear Creek Pastoral Co, Australia) collects from producers using the platform, what we do with it, and what we don't.
What we collect
- Account data — your email, password hash, country, town, production system, units and currency preferences.
- Operation data — your enterprise structure, costs, retention rates, breeding system, and any phenotype/genotype/slaughter data you upload.
- Catalogue data — bull/ram catalogues you upload for ranking, including the breeding values published by your country's breed society.
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, errors encountered. Used to improve the platform.
What we do with it
- Power your account. Your operation data drives the per-farm bioeconomic weights, calibration and rankings only you see.
- Aggregate anonymously. Country / production-system regional anchors are computed across producers with a minimum bucket size of 5 producers. Below that threshold, no aggregate is published.
- Contact you about service. Account-related notifications. We don't sell your contact details.
What we never do
- Sell or share identifiable producer data with third parties (including breed societies, processors or labs) without your explicit consent.
- Re-identify aggregate benchmarks back to the underlying producers.
- Use your catalogue data to train any model that's published outside your account.
Where your data lives
Your operation data is stored in Genemap's Supabase tenancy (Australia region by default), with row-level security ensuring your data is only accessible to your account. Daily anonymised aggregates flow into the regional anchors table; anonymisation is enforced at the Edge Function level.
Third-party integrations
Genemap integrates with public data sources for climate (NASA POWER, SILO, NIWA, NOAA, SMHI, Met Éireann, DWD, MetOffice, INMET, MeteoFrance, SAWS, DMI, MET Norway, JMA, KMA, Copernicus ERA5) and market prices (USDA AMS, MLA NLRS, AHDB, Bord Bia, EU MMO, Jordbruksverket, CEPEA, AgriHQ, CanFax, KAPE, AWEX, British Wool, NZ Wool, ASI). These integrations are read-only — your operation data is never sent to any external source.
The AI translator
Genemap uses Claude (Anthropic) to translate breed-society evaluations from sources not covered by a native ingestor. The trait code, value and units of the breed-society record are sent to Claude for translation. Your operation data, location, herd records, costs, slaughter data and producer identity are never sent. Anthropic does not retain inputs sent via the API.
Your rights
- Export. Download all your operation data at any time as CSV / JSON.
- Delete. Delete your account and all associated data; aggregated anchors are not affected (data was already anonymised at aggregation).
- Correct. Update or correct any operation data via your account settings.
