Terms of service.
By creating an account or using Genemap, you agree to these terms.
1. Service
Genemap (operated by Clear Creek Pastoral Co, Australia) provides a livestock-genetics decision platform. Subscribers access per-farm bioeconomic weights, genetic ranking, mate allocation, and decision-support tools as described on the public marketing pages and pricing page.
2. Your data
- You retain all rights to your operation data (enterprise structure, costs, phenotypes, genotypes, slaughter outcomes, catalogue uploads).
- You grant Genemap a non-exclusive licence to process your data solely for delivering the service to you.
- Anonymised aggregates (minimum 5-producer bucket) may be used to compute regional benchmarks visible to all producers.
3. Subscriptions
- Tiers and prices are listed on pricing. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Free trials run for 14 days. No card required during trial.
- Refunds are available within 7 days of any annual renewal, pro-rated.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the engine.
- Don't upload data you don't have the right to upload.
- Don't use Genemap to violate any breed society's data licence.
5. Third-party data
Genemap reads public data sources (climate APIs, market data feeds, breed-society reference tables). Each source's terms apply to that data. Genemap holds direct agreements where required (e.g., commercial market data redistribution).
6. AI translation
The Genemap evaluation translator uses Claude (Anthropic) to map long-tail breed-society evaluations into Genemap's canonical trait vocabulary. Confidence scores are surfaced in the UI; low-confidence translations (< 0.7) are flagged for human review. Genemap is not liable for translation errors on third-party evaluations.
7. Liability
- Genemap provides decision-support information. You remain responsible for your breeding decisions.
- Genemap is not liable for indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages arising from use of the platform.
- Total liability is capped at 12 months of subscription fees paid by you.
8. Termination
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Genemap may suspend accounts in violation of these terms with 30 days' written notice (immediately for security violations).
9. Changes
Material changes to these terms are notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
