Seedstock breeders, self-replacing commercial cow-calf, northern tropical breeders, terminal-cross steer production, MSA grass-finished, and MSA grain-finished — each modelled with the trait weights and grid economics that actually drive your operation.
An Angus seedstock breeder isn't ranked the same way as a northern Brahman cow-calf operation, or a southern MSA-finishing steer enterprise. Each system carries its own trait emphasis, grading scheme and economic objective — driven by the values, costs and grids of your operation.
Bull and heifer breeders supplying the commercial sector. Balanced selection across calving ease, growth, carcase and fertility — index weights tilt toward what your clients buy. BREEDPLAN, Angus TACE, Zoetis Inherit Select and IGS evaluations all harmonised onto a common EBV scale.
Southern Angus / Hereford / British-cross herds that retain their own replacements. Lifetime productivity per cow drives economics — fertility and longevity weighted alongside growth. Female-side traits (MILK, DTC, MCW) carry their own dollar values, not bull-only weights.
Northern AU, NT, Queensland tropics and equivalent humid environments. Adaptation to heat, ticks and reduced nutrition is first-order. Days-to-calving weighted heavily; mature cow weight watched (too big = too feed-hungry on the country). Fertility-under-stress is the line that pays.
Continental or high-growth sires (Charolais, Simmental, Limousin, Angus over British/Friesian cross cows) for slaughter progeny only. Maternal traits zeroed; carcase weight, eye-muscle area and intramuscular fat carry the index. Grow them fast, finish to spec.
Pasture-finished to MSA grading specs. Grid premium is real but binary — you hit MSA or you don't, and the dollar gap can be ~$0.30–$0.50/kg HSCW. Genemap uses your processor's actual realised premium (not a guessed grid), floored and capped honestly. Marbling rewarded but never inflated.
Feedlot finishing for the marbling grids — fullblood Wagyu, F1 Wagyu, Angus on long-fed grids. Marbling (IMF) drives most of the revenue spread. Feed efficiency matters more here than anywhere else; days-on-feed is a cost not a virtue.
Single-sire studs at 1:25 — 1:50 cow ratios, multi-sire mobs in northern commercial herds at 2–4 bulls per mob, AI sire programs across the seedstock layer. Genemap allocates your bull team across paddocks or mating mobs with inbreeding caps, usage caps and your own structural-soundness constraints applied. The selection index above decides who's worth using; the allocator decides where they go.
A sound selection-index framework on top of every major evaluation system your bulls might come from — without the fictional pretence that every grid pays the same dollar.
BREEDPLAN (identity pass-through), Angus TACE (identity), Zoetis Inherit Select (EPD → EBV ×2, rigorous), IGS (EPD → EBV ×2), Igenity (within-cohort z-score, flagged approximate). A BREEDPLAN bull and a genetically-identical Inherit Select bull score the same dollar — verified end-to-end. No invented cross-base conversions.
The carcase calculator uses your processor's realised $/head MSA vs non-MSA differential — or your override — floored at 1.0 and capped honestly. No invented grid premiums. Same approach for AusMeat grids and the long-fed Wagyu spread.
Angus TACE percentile bands (p1–p99 across the May 2026 cohort) wired into the index — so each EBV is read against its actual breed population, with the direction self-encoded from the bands. Other breed tables are flagged provisional until the real source data is loaded; nothing fabricated.
The MSA, AusMeat, EU and Wagyu long-fed grids each pay differently for the same animal. Genemap uses your realised $/head differential — what your processor actually paid you, MSA-compliant vs non — as the calibration anchor. No invented premiums, no industry-average shortcut. Override the differential in the Profile UI if your latest kill sheet says different.
Add your country and your town. Pick your production system. Genemap configures the evaluation systems your bulls come from, the grid economics you sell into, currency and units automatically.
